South Georgian Bay Rotary Club launches Junior Achievement in Collingwood, Ontario.

With a donation to Junior Achievement of $1,200.00, the South Georgian Bay Rotary Club launched the first Junior Achievement program in Collingwood.

The JA program will be delivered by SGB Rotarian’s Jeannine Faubert, Anna Aagaard and Brad Miller to public schools in Collingwood in the coming weeks but initially with Mountainview Public this past week.

Since 1955, over 4 million Canadian students have experienced a Junior Achievement program. More than, 226,000 young Canadians in 9,472 classes experienced a Junior Achievement program delivered by 13,500 committed business mentors last year.

As the largest youth business education organization in Canada, Junior Achievement plays an importantrole in developing Canada’s future leaders by providing them with success, enhance their workforce readiness and pursue their dreams.

Rotary Club past President John Saul stated at the cheque presentation that “Our youth are the next generation of leaders who will drive Canada’s economy and success. An investment in these future leaders is an investment in our future prosperity.”
