A wonderful celebration of 25 Years as a Club brought out friends and family of Rotary.

The night included great company, good conversation (some stories were even true) wonderful food, greetings from District Governor Sandi, the Assistant District Gov Alison, Charter President David, President Lorne, Kim who brought greetings from MPP Saunderson and the evenings Hostess- and Charter member- Lesley. A slide show displaying the work and fun of the last 25 years put together by Barb was enjoyed by all!

Rotary Club of Collingwood-South Georgian Bay 25th Anniversary Celebration February 5, 2026 - DG Sandi Campbell's Remarks

Good evening,
Past District Governor Juanita, District Governor Nominee Elizabeth, District Governor Nominee Designate Kim, Assistant Governor Alison, Assistant Governor Carol and of course, the man with the golden gun, President Lorne … it is my absolute pleasure to join you for this spectre of an evening.

Now that I have a spy who loves me back home, I have found a true quantum of solace as I look forward to my remaining five months representing her majesty’s secret service, otherwise known as District 7010. I now have the freedom to attend and a license to kill for this shaken, not stirred event. What a true casino royale!
Now some may watch the news and believe we are living in complete skyfall, that folks seem willing to simply live and let die, but I am here to tell you that the world is not enough for the Rotary Club of Collingwood-South Georgian Bay.
You are kicking the living daylights out of polio; you are using both your goldfinger and golden eye to invest in worthwhile projects here at home and in communities around the world. Your support for the hospital and food bank ensures that tomorrow never dies for local patients and those living with food insecurity. Diamonds may be forever, but your members are thunderballing when it comes to support for the Rotary Foundation.

And your Club’s success is not just for your eyes only, as you continue to share your stories on social media, enhancing your reach. And, just as an aside, if there are any physicians here tonight who are thinking of joining another service organization, I say, Dr. No, think of Rotary instead.
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow Rotarians and guests, this is no time to die, it is a time for celebration. From this District Governor with love, a toast to the Rotary Club of Collingwood- South Georgian Bay and the next quarter century of service!
